The Governor’s Awards for the Arts & Humanities honor outstanding individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to Georgia’s civic and cultural vitality through service to the humanities or excellence in the arts.

Presented by the Office of the Governor in partnership with Georgia Council for the Arts and Georgia Humanities, the Governor’s Awards recognize the value of the arts and humanities in the creation of a thriving economy and their contributions to innovation and growth.

The Governor’s Awards pay tribute to the most distinguished citizens and organizations that have demonstrated a lifetime commitment to work in these fields.

The 2019 Governor’s Awards for the Arts and Humanities will be held on October 8, 2019, at the Georgia State Capitol.

Nominations for individuals and organizations will be accepted until July 31, 2019. Nominees should demonstrate long-standing service to the humanities or excellence in the arts

CCG Founder Jet Toney inducted into James Magazine’s Hall of Fame

Cornerstone Founder and Principal Jet Toney has been inducted into James Magazine's 2014 Hall of Fame. This honor was announced in the magazine’s September/October 2014 issue.

James Magazine is a Georgia publication dedicated to providing an inside view into state news, politics, and culture. James’ Hall of Fame includes those who have worked diligently in the field of government affairs or who have lobbied at the Georgia State Capitol for many successful years.

A veteran of 39 state legislative sessions, Jet Toney has lobbied for various business, government, higher education, health care, housing and manufacturing interests. Among his public affairs clients are the Georgia Independent College Association, the Georgia Society of Anesthesiologists, the Georgia Chemistry Council and the Georgia Affordable Housing Coalition.
